We all know Blake’s mistake here— from a technical standpoint, he should have lifted Adam up so he could breath, then screamed for additional help.
After about, say, 10 minutes of screaming without any additional help, he and Adam can work out a slow-lower back into a choking position, followed by Blake running for help in 30-second intervals, returning to lift Adam back into a breathing position until such a time that someone with a large knife or cutting apparatus slices Adam loose.
At least that’s how they did it when I went to school.
